What is Global

warming

Global warming is a process

where earth is getting warmer

and warmer each day.

The atmosphere traps  the Sun’s heat.

The gases that traps the Sun’s heat

are Carbon dioxide and Methane.

When carbon dioxide increases

it sucks up more and more heat

from the sun. The carbon dioxide

increases because of the factories

and smoke from the vehicles.

Global warming also can make

water of the sea and the rivers

hot or warm. When the Global

warming makes the water hot

or warm it makes all the ice in

the world to melt and when that

happens the water will rise. Also

there will be major disasters

like Island’s drowning and

people have to find homes

somewhere else.

Global warming can also cause

heat waves or wildfires could be

born and animals could lose all

their habitats. Wildfires cause

a lot of smoke and make more

carbon dioxide.

So people grow more and more

trees because trees can absorb

carbon dioxide.

Also Tamaki primary is apart

of a tree for survival team that

grows trees so we are helping to reduce
carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.  

Greenhouse effect

Greenhouse effect is a

phenomenon that traps the

Sun’s heat to the Earth.

The Earth’s atmosphere

has gases like  Carbon Dioxide

and Methane which traps the

heat of the Sun.

The gases are increasing

hugely because of trees

being cut down, factories

and vehicles causing smoke.

Also temperatures on Earth have

risen higher and higher causing

glaciers to melt. It also causes

heat waves causing animals

habitats to burn from fire.

So to balance the levels of

carbon dioxide in the

atmosphere,

we need to grow more

and more trees

because trees absorb the

excessive Carbon Dioxide

and this will help in reducing the temperatures on Earth.

What causes

Earthquakes

Earthquakes are caused

by tectonic plates.

Tectonic plates are plates

that are all around the world.

They also look like a jigsaw

pieces trying to make a whole

jigsaw puzzle.Tectonic plates

are also plates that are pushed

by soft rocks known as molten

rocks.The molten rocks put

pressure on the tectonic plates

but the tectonic plates resist it.

But sometimes the molten rocks

put so much pressure that the

molten rocks make the tectonic

plates move and cause

Epicenters to originate Earthquakes.Earthquakes

have magnitudes and depth.

The Earthquakes magnitudes

over magnitude 6 is strong but the magnitudes below magnitude

6 does not any damage.

But also it is about the depth

Earthquakes have.The lowest

depth is not the strongest and

does not cause damage but

the shallowest depth is the

strongest and can cause damage.

Christchurch earthqauke

I was in christchurch and I

heard a tremendously loud

sound then I felt a huge rumble shaking my feet

with fear.Then suddenly I heard a

lot of screaming with fear

because roads were cracking

and lots of houses were getting

demolished.Buildings and cafes

were getting demolished to also

lots of people were getting injured.

All the people that were injured

got send to the hospital but almost

half of the hospital was demolished

and some injured people couldn’t make

it because bricks and metal fell on

them.Once it hit 12:00 pm the

earthquake started to settle down

people were almost shocked and

sad because some people or a

number of people lost people

that they loved so artist now have

been trying to help people feel happy

by painting lots of pictures that could

actually help them lift their spirits.
