The sun

The sun is the biggest object in the solar system.It has
a massive magnetic field and extensive gravitational pull
which holds the Earth and the other planets to make our
solar system.It is many times wider than

Earth and the sun is the star that

is many times closer to us.The sun

can fit more than 1,0000 planets

in the sun.The sun is a burning ball

of gas mostly hydrogen and helium.

If the sun wasn’t here there would be

no light no heat,plants would not grow

and the days would grow colder.

Space is everywhere .In space it is

pitch black which means that

there is darkness everywhere.

Space consists of planets,shooting stars,

meteors and asteroids.Also in space there

is a possibility that there are lot of more suns

and other solar system in space.In space

people can’t breath because there is no

oxygen but the only planet that has oxygen

is Earth.The only planet that has living

things is Earth.Also light can travel

through space but sound doesn't.

In space mars  is also a planet that

could have life but mars is cold and

it has frozen water.In space things

float because there is no gravity.

Astronauts float and use suits with

oxygen to breath in space.

My trip to star dome

On the 15 of may on Tuesday me room 6 and room 5 went to
star dome.At star dome there were Margarita at stars star dome.
We got to look at some stars and we got to see
how the Earth go around the
sun.Then we gotta do some quizzes and our group was Venus.
At the end we went to the Observatory.Then we went outside
and had our morning tea.After that we got in the bus and went
back  to school.My favourite thing about star dome is the O

Earth

Earth is the only planet that humans and animals can

breath and drink because other planets

do not have oxygen and water.
There are some planets that are too hot and some are too cold.
Earth is a good place to live in because Earth right amount of
heat for plants to grow and so humans can stay warm.Earth
is good because Earth has trees,nature and gravity to hold all
of us together.

At the heart of our solar system there is a burning ball of

fire that is our sun.4.5 billions of years ago there was

a cloud full of gas and dust called the solar nebula collapsed
of matter.When it was forming it fused together/condensed
into a big burning ball of fire.The big burning ball
of fire turned into a enormous star called dwarf star
which is known as our sun.The sun has Magnetic
field,fiery nature,nuclear reactions and
Gravitational pull which helps our
planets in our solar system stay together.

Today we learnt to look at the calendar.

Now I know that.

there are 7 days in a week.

-there are 12 months in a year.

-some months have 31 days

and some have 30 days.

-February has 28 days.

I also know how to look at

the day and date of in a calendar.
