Simplify Fractions

This morning on hangouts, Rm 7 were learning how to simplify proper fractions and improper fractions. Our teacher did the first two for each one so we can follow the steps that she used to solve it out, we were asked to answer the questions and record our voices but I didn't know how to do that so I explained it on google drawing. This activity was easier than our first task: multiplying, adding, subtracting, and dividing improper and proper fractions. This maths activity helped me with my multiplying and halving. This is what I did and I hope you learn something new as well!

Do now maths

Today, I was doing some maths about the number 36.

All I have to do is to answer the questions, and then explain it in a way people can understand.

Magic numbers

36

  1. Even or odd number= It is an even number because 18 + 18 = 36

  1. Number before= The number before 36 is 35

because you got to count like 30, 31, 32, 33, 35, 36.

  1. Number after= The number after 36 is 37

because you got to count like 36, 37, 38, 39, 40.

  1. In words= Thirty - six because 30 is spelled T-h-i-r-t-y and 6 is spelled s-i-x

  1. Number in Place value

      H

T

0

      0

        3

      6

30 is in the tens because it is 3 groups of ten, and 6 is in ones because it is 6 groups of 1

36 + 36 = 74
